I am so greatly attached to this beautiful family
The Stinson’s.
They have been my dearest friends for so many years. Recently they welcomed a third child: baby boy Beckett. He is a handsome ball of happiness. His smile could light up room. He has most recently been admitted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Utah where his parents reside.
I can't even begin to explain how helpless I feel not being able t be there for them so, instead I will make mountains move to help these amazing people.
Here are Shawn and Kim's words about their son:
"The last two days have tested me in ways I never thought possible. I have learned more medical terms than I ever cared to know, shed more tears than I thought possible and prayed more times than I ever have before. We found out that something is not right with little Becks liver. Preliminary tests indicate that he has Biliary Atresia. We will be undergoing a pretty intense surgery to help the problem but he will then most likely have to have a liver transplant at a later date. He has been poked and prodded relentlessly. Through it all this happy little face is what Beckett has been showing the nurses, drs and of course his mom and dad. He has reminded me in such a profound way to stay positive and that everything will be ok. I'm trying little man. Thank you for being my light. Keep fighting warrior." - Kim Stinson
"10.8.14 - I feel the fear that every parent hides within themselves. With every word spoken, vitals taken, ultrasound captured, my fear becomes reality.
Beckett was admitted into PCMC hospital with the preliminary diagnosis of Biliary Atresia. In the next few days (pending cardio test results) he will be undergoing a serious surgery to buy him time. Time to get older and stronger in order for his body to handle a liver transplant at a future unknown time or date.
We appreciate all the love and support we have received and ask that you please pray for our son. #loveyabeckett" - Shawn Stinson
I can't imagine what they must be going through but I know as a loving community we can help them make sure they have what they need while they focus their attention on this beautiful little boy.
