Funeral Expenses for Mavis Ashcraft

Donation protected
Mavis Lynch Ashcraft was born on July 30th 1939. She had 3 children, all girls. Joyce, Margaret, and Evelyn. Mavis passed away on January, 14th 2015 at 7:30pm. Currently the family does not have the money to bury her, the funeral home needs $5,200 cash up front before we can procede with the burial.

Mavis had a hard life after the passing of her husband Edward T. Ashcraft, Edward was a good honest man who always took care of Mavis and his family. Edward and Mavis's family never went without anything.

The family took a turn for the worst when Edward passed away, the family drawn distant from each other, always fighting. Drugs played a big role in the destruction of the family.

Mavis suffered from an illness called Dementia. For the most part she was fine but she was very forgetful and a lot of people took advantage of her.

1 year prior to Mavis passing, her youngest daughter who had power of attorney over her, began to sell everything Mavis owned in her house. It started with her Bedroom suit, her bed, her living room suit, her kitchen table, her kitchen chairs, and when there was absolutley nothing else to sell, she sold her entire property of 38 acres including a good home. All of Mavis's belongings including her house was sold.

With the help of her grandson and grandaughter Mavis hired a lawyer to fight for her in court for her home. She was wrongfully took advantage of by her youngest daughter who currently had power of attorney over her. But 7 days before the daughter sold the property the grandson took Mavis to the county attorneys office and had the power of attorney revoked.

Then on July 31st 2014, the youngest daughter and her husband drove into the drive way in a new car that they had traded along with $5000 dollars cash for Mavis's property. But without the power of attorney the youngest daughter should not have had the power to sign the deeds over without Mavis's presence and signature. But it turns out they had a new power of attorney paper written out with Mavis's signature on it, which was not Mavis's signature it was the youngest daughters hand writing, forging Mavis's name onto the document. They also had a notary of republic notarize the document. They approached the notary at his home and had a white headed old woman in the car with them claiming to be Mavis Ashcraft, Mavis has dark hair. The notary can confirm this. The youngest daughter told the man they needed power of attorney over her so they could help her with her medication and handle her money. The notary signed the document for them, making it set in stone. On the day of July 31st 2014, Mavis Ashcraft did not leave her home, she was home all day with her daughter Evelyn who can testify that she was with her. When the youngest daughter showed up in the car Mavis was crying because she knew they had sold her property. Evelyn came outside screaming at her younger sister because she also knew what they had done, the youngest daughter and her husband left abandoning Mavis with nothing after they sold her house and property. But yet they were supposed to be her power of attorney watching over her and helping with her "money and medicine". They never returned and Mavis was left alone without her "care takers". They recieved money for the house for 3-4 months and Mavis never seen a penny of it.

We were meeting with our lawyer on Thursday January 15th, 2015 to discuss Mavis's case beginning a fraud charge against her youngest daughter and husband, but Wednesday January 14th, 2015 Mavis passed away.

The family does not have the money to pay for Mavis's funeral expenses and would appreciate it if you could make a donation to help lay Mavis to rest. She is currently in the funeral home, while the family tries to raise the money to bury her. Please help Mavis so she can finally rest in peace.
