Joshua needs a car for college

Donation protected

Hi, this is my story - my testimony about my car accident.  My name is Joshua and I attend school at Tyler JC.  I  am on the football team.

My parents bought me a car this semester when school started. They put the car in my name too.  I was so excited and I loved this car.

I went home to Houston on Thursday, October 6, 2016 to see my little sister perform at the football game.  I left home to go back to college on Sunday, October 9, 2016.   My accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. at night just 45 minutes from college.

I was driving in an unfamilar area when I crossed over this road to fast and my car hit a bump in the road it put my car airborne.  I lost control of my car and my car skidded over 4 lanes of traffic and then it went into the woods.  My car headed directly for this huge tree.  I saw my life flash in front of my eyes.  However, a miracle happened.  The car just stopped right in front of the tree and didn't hit the tree.  I was shocked, but I know God let me live.  I knew I should have been instantly killed, but I wasn't.   There must have been an angel standing in front of that tree.

There were several people that stopped to help me.  They couldn't find me.  I had to yell, "I'm over here."  They were just staring at me and a couple wives were there with their husband and they were crying because they knew someone had died in the accident.  When they saw me alive, they couldn't stop crying.

One of the men told me, "You are lucky to be alive."  another one said, "Somebody's watching over you up there."  I knew that God was watching over me.  I can't stop to think about how blessed, not lucky, I am.

I keep telling myself that I should be dead right now; however, God has something in store for my life.  I know I'm supposed to tell my story - my testimony.

I thank God every day for my life.  I can't stop thinking about how I could have died in an instant.

So, the stipulation my parents put on the car they bought me was that I was to take care of it.  If something happened to it that I would have to handle it.  I'm grateful that my parents love me and they teach me lessons about life.   I thought I would create this page so hopefully I can get some help.

I would appreciate any donations you can give me.

The bible states, "Faith without works is dead."  This is my works.

I can't find a job because I don't have a ride anymore.  I can barely make it to my classes because I live off campus.  It's hard to find people to take me to and from school.  It's hard to get them to take me to buy groceries at the store.

This is so discouraging, but I know God will provide, but I have to do something so I made this video.

I hope you can help me out.  I am forever grateful no matter what.   My mom told me recently that she listened to a sermon from Joel Osteen and he said, "hope is what you do while you are believing and having faith that something will come to pass."

Expenses already paid:
I've already had to pay $400 for the night my car was towed.
Gas money for my friends to take me to school and my friend who drove to pick me up the night of the wreck, and counting
My car is at a salvage yard until we find someone who can buy it as is
Cost to repair it is $8,000- $12,000

Photo below is the towing bill.  They gave me a discount because I was paying for this out of pocket & without insurance.  It would have been $800

$1, $5, $20, $100...anything will help me get back on my feet and finish this semester strong.

Here is a photo of me and my pupply "Honey."  She came to visit me at school a month ago. I was so happy for her visit and see how she's holding onto my wrist. She's happy too.

Thank you very much.
