I am working with an amazing nonprofit in Rwanda with the mission of providing reusable menstrual pads to girls who cannot afford disposable ones. Without pads, these underprivileged girls stay out of school and fall behind, which inhibits their ability to complete their education. Rwanda is working to build gender equality into their culture, and the taboo of discussing reproductive health is still strong.
