Jayson Skipper's untimely death this past week was a surprise to us all. A life full of promise and hope, inexplicably remanded to God far too early, Jayson will forever be remembered as the kindhearted patriarch and caregiver that we all knew him to be; loved as not only a son, brother, and friend, but as the father of three amazing and beautiful young children. Riley, Jack, and Olivia will always adore their Daddy...Riley, his first born daughter, just turned 9. She plays softball and enjoyed riding bikes with Dad; Jayson always found joy watching her play and grow. In the middle is Jack, 7, who loves to fish and recently began playing golf with Dad. Jack is getting better with every hole and Jayson had just bought him his first set of clubs. The youngest is Olivia, age 5, who absolutely loved when Dad would swim with her, never failing to say "again!" when he would lift her up for a big wave. Jayson was so proud of them all.
He gave fatherhood his very best, always loving each of his kids just as they were. His memory lives on within their fun-loving spirits and they continue to honor him through their strength and compassion.
Now, as we celebrate Jayson's life, we remember the many ways he touched all of our lives. His larger-than-life hugs were one of a kind and filled with love; his love was genuine and sincere. Jayson was always up for a trip to the beach, watching a game (he loved all sports), playing golf, or just spending time with his family. Even though quiet-natured, Jayson could find a way to let you know that he loved you.
Please join us in the remembrance of his life. We would love to hear any special memories that you share with Jayson. Feel free to post the stories below, or reach out privately if you'd prefer.
We have set up the memorial in honor of Jayson for his children in lieu of flowers or gifts sent to the family. This fund will be used to help support Riley, Jack, and Olivia as they embark on their own journeys in life, just as Jayson would have ensured: never alone, and always loved.
