It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic news of Marquis Hough's passing. Marquis died September 6, 2015 in an accidental drowning. He was 18 years old.
The Hough family is now mourning the loss of their precious son as rescuers search for his recovery. Marquis had a warm personality, was kind, respectful, extremely bright, and always willing to be of help. He had such a gracious, resilient spirit. Anyone who knew Marquis was well acquainted with his smile! He truly was a gentleman in the making.
Before his sudden death, Marquis was preparing to leave for United States Navy where he had been accepted into the highly respected nuclear program. Because of Marquis' faith in Jesus Christ, we are confident he is now at home with the Lord. Although we are mourning his loss, we are rejoicing in the hope of a glorious reunion with him.
Through Go Fund Me, we are asking for donations to help cover the expenses of Marquis' wake and funeral. The Hough Family has dedicated their lives to the service of others, often to the detriment of their own needs. Over the years, they have opened their home to many foster children. Two of these foster children found their "forever family" with the Houghs through the adoptive process; Marquis was one of them
The Houghs are also the founders of Beautiful U Ministries. A ministry dedicated to housing young, pregnant teenage mothers. It is funded through Beautiful U Ministries Resale Shop in Elburn, IL, where Liz Hough and her volunteers work tireless hours sorting and pricing donated merchandise. Liz and Bill Hough truly have dedicated their lives in service to " the least of these".
As one of Liz's closest friends, I can attest to the integrity of this family and their ministry. I have also seen God miraculously provide for their every need. The Hough Family has been a rich blessing to many children, pregnant teens, and young adults over the years. Let's rally together and return the blessing by eliminating any financial burden associated with funeral expenses.
