Help Kate pay for vet bills for her saviour poppy

Hi My name is Karen and my dearest friend Kate is needing help to pay for the vet fees for her beloved dog poppy!

Poppy has been Kate’s saviour and don’t leave Kate’s side …her little shadow

Kate has been through hell of a journey that would break even the strongest of us all

kate suffered a severe breakdown 5 years ago her marriage broke down through no fault of her own on top of that her aunt, whom she was super close to was diagnosed with cancer and within a few weeks passed away. Then 6 months later her beautiful granddaughter Laraya was born sleeping and her best friend passed away from cancer

Poppy then came into her life and gave her a reason to get up in the morning her mental health had spiralled out of control with not much support apart From her shadow Poppy!

This dog is more than just the family pet she rescued Kate

Kate recently also had to have a knee replacement from an accident at work and had had to spend a lot of time at home

Poppy then had a phantom pregnancy and rapidly went down hill the vets had treated her for this so her milk would dry up etc but she was still unwell and her breathing had become shallow she couldn’t move and had lost her appetite Kate had contacted the vet numerous times and visited the vet which then decided to do X-Rays and scans etc which spotted she had pyrothorax and needed to operate immediately to drain the pus and fluid from her chest cavity’s which they did and then had to operate again as the fluid and pus had build up regardless of a drain being put in and was also losing air

As Poppy was being treated initially for a phantom pregnancy her insurance does not cover this and they are treating this as the same thing regardless that it is completely unconnected so therefore won’t cover it

the next 24 hours are critical for Poppy and still don’t know if she will pull through

the vets fees have already mounted up to £14000 which is shocking and more treatment maybe needed

Poppy is a 5 year old cocker spaniel that enjoys long walks and runs and a lovely swim she playful and loving and don’t leave Kate’s side

obviously as Kate has not been working due to the knee replacement money is very tight at the moment and all she needs is her saviour to be back by her side

I understand that with the cost of living crisis money is and can be very tight so if you can spare even a couple of £ to help towards this ever mounting vet bill it will help Kate’s mental health to protect her from having to worry about this ever growing cost to help save her rescuer
