Dana Rogers Memorial Fundraiser

Donation protected
Friends, Relatives and Military Service Members that had the honor and privilege of knowing, loving, serving or performing with Dana Rogers, WE NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!!! We are raising funds for Dana Rogers funeral expenses. Our Goal is $16,000 to cover aftercare, cremation & internment at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Houston. Sgt. Dana Rogers was the featured Vocalist of the US Army Jazz Ambassadors from 1992-1999. She was born in Port Arthur, TX and raised in the orchestra pit with her father, the late Bill Rogers, orchestrator, conductor and contractor for the Sinatra Family for over 35 years. She is survived by her mother, Donnie Smith and brother, Richard Rogers of Houston and thousands of musicians and friends worldwide that love her. All funds will go directly to the Memorial Oaks funeral home and any remaining donations will go directly to her estate for her final medical expenses.

Dana was very spiritual and loved God with all her heart. She loved Gospel music and prayed constantly out loud for those she loved. She wrote many prayers to God and prayed specifically for friends and family. I would like to share this poem she loved which was on her Facebook Page.

I never tire of this poem...
I was shocked, confused, bewildered,

As I entered Heaven's door.
Not by the beauty of it all,

Nor the lights, or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven,
Who made me sputter and gasp--

The thieves, the liars, the sinners,

The alcoholics with a past.

There stood the kid from seventh grade,

Who swiped my lunch money twice.

Next to him was my old neighbor,

Who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on a cloud,
Looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, 'and said What's the deal?

I'd love to hear Your take.

How'd all these sinners get up here?

God must've made a mistake.

'And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber?
Give me a clue.'
'Hush, child,' He said, 'they're all in shock!
No one thought they'd be seeing you.'

JUDGE NOT
!
Remember...Just going to church doesn't make you a
Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Every saint has a PAST...

Every sinner has a FUTURE!
