This months RAK is collecting money to support members of the Cazenovia College family. Aliyah Hyman Parker is a Caz College graduate and so is her husband Derrick Parker. Their daughter Desiree has been diagnosed with a very rare Rhabdoid tumor; a highly aggressive malignancy of early childhood. Approximately 80% of Rhabdoid tumor occur in patients less than 2 years of age.
Rhabdoid tumor has the worst prognosis and develop metastases to lungs, liver, abdomen, brain, lymph nodes and bone. Survival is poor, with an 18 month survival rate of only 10%. Aliyah, Derrick, Desi and their other daughter have been in and out of the hospital since Desiree was born. Desiree is over a year old now and has beaten cancer, she is such a fighter. The Parker family continues to spend a lot of time in and out of hospitals getting Desiree the physical and medical help she needs.
We have dedicated our Feb RAK to help raise money to ease the burden of the hospital bills for the Parker Family, as well as raise awareness about Rhabdoid tumor.

We're just 5 Caz College graduates with one resolution- Be Kind. With all the negativity in the world, the 5 of us will each perform 365 Random Acts of Kindness through the year. Our goal is to spread the good in the world and hope others will pay it forward. We are setting up this fundraiser in hopes of doing a large act of kindness at least once a month to a charitable organization or to a person in need. Please consider donating to Caz Girls Conquer 365 Random Acts of Kindness. Like us and follow our journey at www.facebook.com/CazGirlsConquer365RandomActsOfKindness. Thanks in advance for your support with our resolution.
