Save the Screaming Eagle C47A/R4D

Boneyard Safari, an Aviation Preservation Organization is seeking to preserve a piece of aviation history.  US Navy R4D (C-47) 12441 is headed to be melted down and we are doing everything we can to save her.  She is the one of the last few of her kind and we have been successful in locating some of her crew.  We are attempting to save her to find a new home at a museum.  Photo Gallery of R4D 12441 Screaming Eagle.

Bought by Basler Turbo Conversions as possible Basler Turbo-67 DC-3 conversion, FAA N-number N105BF assigned.
Sold to DMI Aviation in early 2002.
Disposition: Currently for sale by DMI Aviation, Tucson, AZ minus engines, avionics and interior.

The Future:  We are attempting to save the aircraft and find a home at a museum for her, our first step is raising the funding to prevent her from being melted down.  Our first step is raising $20,000 to prevent her being destroyed.  Phase two is find a suitable new home with a museum for the aircraft.
