St Martins, Feeding Families in Kibagare Slum

St Martins School is situated in the slum community of Kibagare on the outskirts of Nairobi in Kenya.  Like all communities, they are affected by the wave of Corona Virus sweeping our countries, but unlike the majority of communities, they don’t have any infrastructure, secure homes, clean water, sanitation and now they don’t have the school as it has been closed.  Nearly 1000 children who would receive a daily meal have been sent home.  Parents are living hand to mouth and the majority have lost their ability to earn a living.  St Martins School although closed by current conditions, still has a skeleton staff and they will manage the distribution of the food parcels into the community of Kibagare.
 
As a group of sponsors who have worked with the school and the community since 2007, we would like to help the families as much as we can.
