Save Music House for Children

Our established, much loved non-profit music school in London, UK, is under threat from closure, due to the effects of the devastating pandemic. For over 25 years Music House for Children has provided musical activities for babies, young children and nursery ages. It provides musical play, story-tales, appreciation classes, workshops, holiday music camps, live concerts, special projects for those with emerging and profound autism, cognitive disabilities, deafness and language delay. It provides early childhood music training for educators, carers, parents, childminders, special educational needs and language experts. Its many case studies and research projects inform, educate and provide inspiration and understanding to what music means to our babies and their future.

Our provision has been cut by 80% overall. The loss to local communities, London wide and further afield would be devastating – not just for families, their children and nursery settings, but to many freelance educators giving so much to nurture our children’s lives through music. Closing Music House for Children would send out a terrible message across the UK and the world – that music in early childhood does not matter. MUSIC IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DOES MATTER .

Help us with any support you can give. Help us too, by spreading the word. Music can, and does make a positive, powerful difference to our children’s and their families’ lives.

Thank you.
