FLAG of South Orange Maplewood

Donation protected
FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) of South Orange and Maplewood is a group dedicated to feeding our front line healthcare workers at Newark Beth Israel Hospital during the coronavirus pandemic while also keeping  SOMA restaurants in business.

We’re asking for donations of $10-$20, but more is always welcome.  Funds will be used to purchase meals from SOMA restaurants and distributed to healthcare workers at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.

We now know the extreme stress facing front line hospital workers with this life-threatening virus. Not only are they working in a stressful environment but training on new safety regulations, adhering to rigorous protocols, working long hours, tending to high patient volume, and scarcity of resources. A little extra fuel and love from the community can go a really long way to help them feel appreciated and keep them healthy.

FLAG of Chatham and Madison was started by Liz Bernich and Gina McGuire raising over $50,000 in it’s first week to serve Morristown Medical Center. We hope to replicate their success in our community.

Please share with your distant friends, co-workers and family members and ask them to set up something similar to pay this forward!
