Travis' Cancer Treatment
Travis has been diagnosed with stage 3 testicular cancer that has spread all the way up through into his stomach and lungs and now his thyroid or lymph nodes, they're not sure yet.. We've been told that there is a 2/3rds chance of beating this, and we're trying to remain hopeful. We are trying to raise money to get to a bigger facility where they can better help him, and to help with our son that's only 7 months old. Any little bit helps. Thank you so much.+ Read More
Getting ready for surgery right now will post an update for everyone once I'm in my room
Sorry for the lack of updates but it's been a hectic and crazy past few months! I finished my chemo treatments at the end of September one cycle less then what we were originally going to do because we found out my cancer was teratoma which will only shrink 20-25% with chemo treatments. On November 11th I had surgery to remove the tumors in my chest and neck area. They were able to remove 90-95% of the tumors in what turned out to be a 12 hour procedure. Everything went very well and only spent 8 days in the hospital recovering when they thought I would have to be there for at least 10 days. My next procedure will be on February 10th on my stomach area to remove the largest tumor in me which is wrapped around my left kidney. Well that's pretty much all that has been happening these past few months, just wanted to keep all of you updated and thank you for your thoughts and prayers and all of your donations.
On his second full week of chemo, started losing all of his hair this week too. Started feeling pretty stressed, but hopefully it will get better soon. Thank you for all of your help and support!
