Last year I came to you, my friends, asking you to sponsor a student's school supplies for the year. After the year started I shared the story of the student who hugged me when he was given the supplies, not believing people who would never meet him would help him, and promising to pay it back when he was older.
Another student you helped was on the fast track to nowhere during the first quarter. He had been suspended and stood a real chance of being referred for expulsion. His first quarter grades were a 1.14. He ended year with a 3.4 GPA and will be taking advanced classes this year, You helped make the difference.
I am asking, again, for people to sponsor a student for $25. Each sponsored student will receive a 3 ring binder with all the accessories: pencil ouch, sharpener, dividers, daily supplies of papers, pens, pencils, highlighter, erasers and a memory stick.
Any help is appreciated and will be an investment in our future.
