In 2015 our beautiful son, Leo was born 2 months prematurely. I had been unwell since I was 27 weeks pregnant. A week later I was sent for an exploratory endoscopy and a tumour was found on my Pancreas. I received my diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer a few weeks later and within days my first round of chemotherapy had started. After 7 months I then had a 6 week course of radiotherapy. I was then a candidate for surgery, a Whipple.procedure which was major surgery. I was 7months cancer free when it returned to my liver, it was treated with an ablation and another 6 months chemotherapy. 10 months cancer free and it is now back for the third and unfortunately last time. I am now on palliative chemo to prolong my life and give me more precious time with my gorgeous boys and husband.
Had I have had an earlier diagnosis and caught at an earlier stage, chances are I wouldn't be where I am now and cancer free.
Anyone who knows me will know I am a very stubborn and determined lady! I don't want to die.
I have been researching alternative holistic natural therapies and have embarked on one with so many success stories, I just can't ignore it!. I've read stories of people' cancer disappearing by taking it or keeping it under control without the need for chemo.
It is a slight expense for us and with 2 young children, we are reaching out to our friends and family to help us fund this treatment alongside my chemo. I have a scan halfway through this course of chemo and if I show excellent and dramatic results, it could mean I qualify for surgery, it could be a total game changer and relieve me of my death sentence.
