Katie needs a Liver transplant!! After many, many ups and downs with her medical issues, she has found that her best bet is to find a living donor to donate part of their liver to her. News 8 did a wonderful story about her. You can view the story here:

Katie is so full of life during this struggle. She would bend over backwards for anyone and any animal. She has spent her life taking care of her family and helping animals find necessary homes. Now she needs our help!!
As you may know, a transplant can be a very hard time for a family. Katie and Drake have a 10 year old daughter who is also having a hard time with this process. Drake spends all of his time taking care of Katie as she is bedridden,which has left him very limited time to work on cars to make money to pay bills and take care of all expenses.
They need help...bills are piling up, Katie goes from GR to Detroit for doctors appts sometimes weekly, which takes gas, food, etc.
I will keep this campaign going until Katie has a clean bill of health and can resume her life with her family full time. Please help!!!
