HOPAR Community Youth Center

Pastors Frankie & Vickie Ramos, senior pastors of House of Prayer and Restoration (HOPAR) envision a Christian based youth center, where youth from ages 12-19 years old, who are socially challenged by peer pressure into joining gangs, can cultivate and utilize their gifts and talents through the arts. The pastors believe that every youth can be able to express themselves through music, dance, and poetry during "open mic" nights, in a non-hostile, structured environment as an alternative to self-expression. The Pastors plan to not just provide an outlet of expression, but a safe environment of mentoring, discipleship, relationship building, and a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Phase I of the reconstruction of the soon to be a 100-year-old historical site, has been completed, and we are ready to proceed to the second phase. Phase II will consist of the completion of the bottom half of the building which will serve as a temporary sanctuary as we rebuild the upper part to accommodate the youth center, building computer rooms, sound room, talent stage, and soup kitchen. How soon we will be ready to open the doors to our youth will depend on the funds received to complete Phase II.
