ZRE Basket ball court, picnic area and play ground

My name is Allie F. Lechner, I am a voluntary board member at Zumbro Ridge Estates Inc. Zumbro Ridge Estates is a Non Profit, Resident Owned affordable Mobile Home Community. We are located with in Olmsted County, where affordable housing is needed desperately.
We have the ability to offer affordable housing to about 30 more families.In order to do this though, there are a few things that the Park needs. At this time we find ourselves without a play ground for our younger children, a basketball court for our older children and a picnic area for all residents.
The picnic area will have 6 to 8 “Life Time” picnic tables which will be located on a nice grassy area behind our mail boxes. There will be 4 commercial grade, galvanized grills. This will allow for community and family gatherings. Across the street from our mail boxes and behind the Office/Meeting building there will be a 84 to 94 foot by 42 foot asphalt Basketball Court. This allowing our older children and young adults an area to burn energy off while engaging with others. Just beyond the Basketball Court will be a playground with a durable commercial Swing Set, a climber of sorts, Slides and tot play set. We have the Commercial Basket Ball poles, back boards and hoops.
( They are donated by Bear Creek Church.) The setting up of the play ground will be done by volunteers from Bear Creek Church and Evangel Methodist Church. The Basket Ball Court is estimated to cost around $15,000.00 . The picnic Tables and grills are estimated to cost around $10,000.00. The Children’s playground is estimated at around $60,000.00 .
We are asking if you or your organization can donate a completely tax deductible contribution to the above needs. These amenities for the Park will allow children who do not have the ability to participate in sport activities, due to cost. The basics for out door physical play and socialization.
We are planning to commence these projects this summer as long as we are able to get the one time asking donations for the project. The added play ground, basket ball court and picnic area, will also help facilitate, more families to consider moving into our community, where they too can enjoy pride in ownership in their own affordable home.
The funds will be put in a bank account allocated for this sole purpose, and will not be in Zumbro Ridge Estates operational accounts. We will keep you updated on the progress of this endeavor by means that you feel appropriate.Two logical question are “ What if we do not raise the amount of funds we are trying to raise or we raise more then asking for? The answer to those questions are. We would use the funds that we do raise to facilitate as much of the projects as we could. If we raise more than asking for we would add benches with in the playground area and or basketball area.
I am personally available to give you a tour of our community at your convenience.
