Refugee Visa for Wasim Family

Donation protected
Wasim, Anam and their two young girls are a Pakistani Refugee family who having fled persecution and death threats for their Christian faith have been stranded in Thailand for 5 years. Westgate Refugee Support a ministry of Westgate Baptist Community in Australia, is seeking to assist the family in obtaining an Australian Humanitarian Visa.  As part of the Australian Government's Community Support Program, $50,000 is required to pay the Australian Government , legal, health and flight costs to Australia.

Westgate Refugee Support are committed to assisting with housing, employment and ongoing support.

In Thailand the family can be arrested and sent to a detention camp at any time. They have been granted Refugee Status by the UNHCR but are still considered illegal by Thai authorities.

As soon as the funds have been raised we can begin the Visa process under a special Community Support Program. Achieving this goal will transform this family's life. Free from fear, uncertainty and the desperation of trying to survive they will be able to start a new life in Australia alongside a deeply compassionate and committed community.
