Cesar Alejandro Rodríguez Martínez (38), son, brother, and father, faced a life changing situation on November 13, 2015. Cesar has always suffered from high blood pressure. The doctors told him that he had high creatinine levels (creatinine levels indicate the functioning of the kidneys), the normal creatinine level should be from 0 to 1.4 (maximum) and Cesar’s creatinine levels got to 45. On November 13, the toxins invaded his body, his kidneys collapsed, and had a functionality of 0%, leading him to the emergency room for his first hemodialysis.
Hemodialysis is a process that consists of the person being connected to a machine with a special filter called an artificial kidney, or a dialyzer that is used to clean the blood. Cesar must go 3 times a week to the Diálisis Institution of Honduras at 4 in the morning before going to work in order to live. This tedious process lasts 4 hours.
After two years of looking for a kidney donor, the miracle that everyone was waiting for finally happened. For a better understanding of this blessing, we have to go back 22 years.
Twenty-two years ago, there was a child in La Paz, Honduras who belonged to a disintegrated family. His name is Ramon. This boy was barefoot and looked very humble. Cesar Alejandro Rodriguez Martinez's family immediately became fond of him and the affection was mutual. They supported him in his studies so that he could finish the 6th grade and then took him to their home in Tegucigalpa, enrolling him in a school of the Honduran Air Force. After that, they transferred him to another private school. After finishing his studies thanks to all the support of the Rodríguez Martínez family, Ramon returned to La Paz always carrying that gratitude in his heart. Several years passed and Ramon returned to Tegucigalpa, due to the passing of Alejandra, Cesar's sister. After sharing several moments once again, without thinking it twice Ramon decided he wanted to be Cesar's kidney donor. After various tests, the results indicated that they were compatible. A true miracle.
What is truly amazing is how a good deed done 22 years ago is impacting Cesar's life today. There is no such thing as a coincidence. You really get what you give.
The operation and the place for his kidney transplant will depend on the funds. The most viable option is in Cuernavaca, Mexico, having a total cost of $ 30,000 which include the surgery, medicines and travel expenses.
We hope to obtain the funds as soon as possible, since the lack of them is what is delaying that the transplant can be performed.

Los médicos le dijeron que tenía la creatinina alta qué es lo que indica el funcionamiento de los riñones, lo normal es de 0 a 1.4 (máximo) y César llegó a tener creatinina de 45. Ese 13 de noviembre las toxinas invadieron su cuerpo porque sus riñones habían colapsado, la funcionalidad de sus riñones estaba en un 0%, por lo cual ese mismo día fue de emergencia a su primer hemodiálisis.
Hemodiálisis es un proceso que consiste en que la persona es conectada a una máquina para que el ciclo de purificación de sangre pueda ser posible. Este proceso tedioso tiene una duración de 4 horas y César se dializa 3 veces a la semana en la Institución Diálisis de Honduras.
Después de dos años de estar buscando un donante para su riñón, sucedió el milagro que todos estaban esperando. Para un mayor entendimiento de esta bendición, tenemos que retroceder 22 años.
Hace 22 años, había un niño en el barrio de La Paz, Honduras que pertenecía a una familia desintegrada. Este niño se llama Ramón, el se encontraba descalzo y lucía muy humilde. La familia de Cesar Alejandro Rodriguez Martinez inmediatamente se encariño de el y el cariño fue mutuo. Lo apoyaron en sus estudios para que lograra terminar su 6to grado y luego lo llevaron a su casa en Tegucigalpa ingresandolo en un colegio de la fuerza aérea hondureña. Después de eso, lo pudieron trasladar a otro colegio privado. Después de finalizar sus estudios gracias a todo el apoyo de la familia Rodríguez Martínez, este niño regresó a La Paz siempre llevando ese agradecimiento en el corazón. Pasaron varios años y Ramón regresó a Tegucigalpa, al escuchar del fallecimiento de Alejandra, la hermana de César. Al compartir nuevamente con él, sin pensarlo dos veces dijo que él quería ser el donante de riñón de Cesar, ya que eran el mismo tipo de sangre, solo tenían que comprobar la compatibilidad. Se fueron a un viaje a Guatemala para hacerse los exámenes, que salieron compatibles. Un milagro de Dios.
La operación y el lugar para él trasplante de riñón dependerá de los fondos. La opción más viable es en Cuernavaca, México. Teniendo un costo total de $30,000, que incluye la cirugía, medicinas y gastos de viaje.
