Zia is skydiving! Help him reach his £5k target raising funds for Older People in Bristol.

The London Olympics 2012 games maker and
daredevil Zia is taking to the skies in a bid to raise money for Bristol Older People’s Forum. He is part of a team of people, alongside his pal Tony, making a leap of faith from above and they need your help!

Zia is an active member of the forum and also volunteers with another UK charity promoting peace & harmony among communities. He is a very keen veteran Badminton player and plays for the club and county. He is also a member of REME Association Bristol (Army). He represents BOPF  on the ITV West Country Diversity board. Zia has been volunteering for many years in various sectors.

Now he is taking on his most daring challenge yet…a sky dive from 15,000 feet on Saturday 14th April at Sarum Airfield near Salisbury.

Following a number of funding cuts, the future of Bristol Older People’s Forum is under threat and they desperately need to raise funds to enable them to continue.

Bristol Older People’s Forum is "the voice of people over 55 in Bristol. " A group who, mainly volunteer their time, to champion the rights of older people across the city – lobbying local government on issues, holding regular meetings and providing useful information for older people in the city, campaigning on issues such as lonliness, transport, pensions, safety & security and much more . As the longest standing group of influential older people it is a real shame that their future is now uncertain. More information can be found at  https://bopf.org.uk/

Please donate as much or as little as you can to ensure that older people continue to have a voice in Bristol as they continue to help combat growing isolation and loneliness in the city and strive for an equitable city for all ages.

Hey I am still alive. Well I did it. Skydived from 15,000ft (5kms). Its a long way down. First 60 secs is free fall at 125mph. No vision at that falling speed.
Neck got very cold. Excellent view once the parashute opened. Sunny day. So could see for miles. Great day
