Please help our Sister!

You may know Her as "The Lunch Lady" or "The Wrap Girl" or "Coach Jo", but we know her as our Sister. If you know her personally or follow her on social media then you know how giving, strong, inspirational and how Faithful she is. Josette has one of the biggest hearts we know. Well, our sister is sick. Something so innocent as a belly ache has turned into a Chronic desease. About 7 weeks ago Josette started to complain about a belly ache. As sisters, humans, family and friends we suggested everything in the book for her to try and none of those home remedies worked. Jo decided to finally make a trip to the ER and this would begin 1 of her 5 visits in 3 weeks before finally getting someone to listen to her. Like us, the Dr.'s also gave her many different assumptions of what they thought she may have. On March 20, 2017 her boyfriend came home to find our sister not well at all. She was frail and pale. Her lips were so chapped from dehydration and she could barely move. As he got closer to her she managed to get out "I feel like I'm dying"... Bernard then took her to the Dr. One last time and demanded help! On March 21, 2017 our sister was diagnosed with Gastroparesis and it has been so ugly to her.
Gastroparesis is a condition that affects the stomach muscles and prevents proper stomach emptying. In another words, half of her stomache is paralyzed. I found out that this rare chronic disease has fewer than 200,000 US cases per year. Treatment can help, but this condition can't be cured and is fatal. This disease starves you to death. This made our whole family scared. It also made Josette scared. Josette has not been able to eat or drink much in almost 6 weeks. She lives off of chicken broth, jello and pudding and depends on an i.v. to hydrate her. She gets sick trying to incorporate anything new, she knows that she has to try to eat and drink because the next few steps will eventually lead to a feeding tube. She is dropping weight where she cant eat. She is on a medication now that seems to be helping somewhat, but new symptoms are starting to appear. She has migraines and her spine is starting to ache. Her blood pressure keeps going down and her heart is working over time.  She will be going in for an EKG for that soon. Jo also has bleeding on her stomache lining and they just found a hernia on the bottom of her stomache. Our sister did not want us to reach out to her friends and all those of you she considers family. She is a very hard worker, but we all know medical procedures, visits and tests do not discriminate against anyone no matter how successful you are. This is why we are reaching out to you. Josette's journey has just begun and up until recently she had been paying for what she needs. We are thankful that she was able to get insurrance to help pay for some of her medical expenses, but her insurance does not cover all of it. Josette has some more tests to be performed, more biopsies, more xrays, more blood work, new medications that she needs.... She is always saying that we can all be Hope Brokers so please help us show her that we can be! We will be very greatful for every single dollar. If you can not donate monitarily we ask that you lift her up in prayer. She is always praying her Rosary, pray with and for her! Thank you all so much!

They say 50% of people with gastroparesis can live a normal life... Please help us keep our sister in that 50% rank!

God Bless You All
