Reno National Little League’s 10/11 year old All Star Team is the proud winner of the District 1 All Star Tournament this year. The RNLL team will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada on July 23-28th to represent Northern Nevada in the State tournament.
While this is an exciting time for our league, the cost of sending thirteen players and three coaches to the tournament in Las Vegas is difficult to fund from registration fees from our small league of 325 players and All Star Fees charged to each participant. Consequently, we are reaching out to our valued community businesses in Northern Nevada to request donations to help pay for the travel expenses of participating in the State Tournament in Las Vegas.
In an effort to reduce travel expenses and to create a memorable experience for our players, the coaches have rented a home in Las Vegas for all of the players to stay in together. We have also rented two vans for transportation, and will be cooking all meals at the house to save on expenses. However, even with these efforts, our travel expenses for the team will be close to $10,000.
Any financial support you can provide to help our league offset these costs would be greatly appreciated. With a donation of $500 or more, we will create a special banner honoring your donation to support the RNLL All Star team which will be hung at our field for the entire 2015/2016 season. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity (Tax Id. # 88-1018437) and your donation is tax deductible as such.
