Due to ill health as a result of gastrointestinal issues since 2012,I have had frequent absences from work and due to my workplace not paying sick leave, I often returned before being fully fit so that I would able to cover my expenses as the part time hours I worked barely covered things when I managed to work all my hours. The result of this was that my health deteriorated to such a state that I have been off sick since February 2015.
Up to now, I have been able to scrape together the funds to pay bills and cover the most necessary medical expenses. This is no longer the case and I urgently need assistance.
My fund raising goal is €1000:
To get through this month I need €500 and that's just to cover the most pressing bills and basic medicines.
In addition to my stomach issues, I am also awaiting surgery to have half my thyroid and the possibly cancerous nodules on it removed.
When I have my surgery, I will also need to take time off work and would like to have enough to allow me not to rush my recovery. My job involves talking on the phone and there is a possibility of damage to my vocal chords from the surgery.
Anything in excess of my goal would allow me to take the actual time off I need when my stomach flares up and hopefully avoid my current situation where I have had such an extended absence from happening again.
My fund raising goal is merely a dream scenario. Any assistance at all will be gratefully received and will make a huge difference.
