Hello Friends,
My father confirmed this morning that they have lost their entire home to the Blanco River flooding. Their house was swept away by the river along with the entirety of the their possessions. Affected by this terrible loss are my father Art (57), mother Melinda (57), brother Corey (35) and his children, Cierra Rose (9) and Christian (6). They were only able save their vehicles at the time. As of yet nothing else has been recovered. All that remains of the house is a beam from the foundation. They have lost all of their clothing, childhood mementos, toys, jewelry and their precious cat Salem. I’m grateful at this time that everyone made it out safely. My mother is also currently recuperating in the hospital from hip replacement surgery that occurred just a few days ago. My family is devastated and scattered at the moment but stand resolute and strong and will begin to rebuild their lives with the help of family and friends. At this time thoughts and prayers are appreciated as well as donations of any size. I have a wonderful family with enormous hearts who would do anything to help another human being out - this time they are the ones who need some help.
