Orphanage in Zambia needs FOOD!

$5,425 of $13,000 goal

Raised by 97 people in 18 months

This time of the year we are raising money to feed the starving kids in the Kasama (Zambia) orphanage.

Do you want to join me in supporting orphans in Zambia, Africa? Our organization has educated hundreds of children over the past 15 years. In 2017, we found an orphanage in the Northern Province that had 60 children living in a 6 room shack with 3 adults They only got 1 meal a day, if they were lucky.

Let me tell you a story... A few days ago, 4 day old twins were dropped off at the orphanage. The mother had them in the bush by herself and would have left them there for animals. But by a miracle, someone saw them and got them to the orphanage on time. See pictures.

Amazingly, the orphanage doesn’t turn anyone away. The number of kids increased since last year from 60 to 73. Last year we provided all of them a meal for $20 a day for 6 days a week. Besides the meal we provide, they just have 1 meal for breakfast. This year I asked them how much they need. They told me “No madam, the food you provided last year would be enough this year”. We believe they need more to provide formula for the babies.

I am crying every time I think about these kids. $20 (price of one lunch in USA) can feed 73 little kids. Can you imagine?

They told me, thanks to our efforts, kids are healthier and less death occurs. Yes, death.

I know you might be thinking, well it’s Africa. Just take my word, these kids are no different from yours or mine. They feel hunger and want to be loved. We provide them food, not money, every two weeks. They receive no government support, I’ve gone and checked myself. I ask you with all my heart to donate what you can. 100% of your donation will go towards food in their tummies.

Did I mention? All 73 kids live in 4 « bedrooms », have no running water and cook on fire? I know that’s too much information, but can we open our hears and save them from hunger death? They are real kids and without our support some of them will die. We are planning to build them a new orphanage and already have the land, but right now we just collecting the money for food, please spare $20 and it will feed 73 kids.

A big thanks to all who donated last year!!!

We are still trying to raise enough money to feed orphans in Zambia. We raised enough money through grants to buy property to build an orphanage. We purchased the property a few months ago. The kids still need to eat. We appreciate those who have donated in the past and especially have shared this post with their Facebook friends.
