Zach Petersons Motorcycle Accident

On April 29th 2018 I was hit by a car while riding my motorcycle by someone running a red light. I was taken by ambulance and then life-flighted to the University of Utah hospital. My injuries were and are as follows. Multiple brain bleeds, traumatic brain injury, bruised lung, broken left clavicle, broken right humorous, broken left femur, compound fractured right femur, and fractured T-11 vertebrae. I was in a coma for 4 days and in the hospital for 3 weeks. I will be recovering from these injuries for almost a full 12 months. I will have months of physical, speech and occupational therapy. Most likely I will be affected by them for the rest of my life. Because of these injuries I am not able to work.

In in my life I have tried to live it to the fullest and be extremely active. Everything including but not limited to skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, boating, hiking, biking, geocaching, baseball, volleyball and so forth. All of these activities are now not a possibility at all this summer and who knows what the future will hold concerning physical activity.

I am really looking for help to cover medical bills. This accident was completely out of my control and now I’m going to have hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. And thousands that will not be covered by insurance. Please help me get out of a really sticky situation and back on my feet. Literally. Thank you so much!
