Glenmont Police Dept. Equipment

We are a small agency with a tiny budget.  There was an officer from a neighboring agency who was killed last month.  There are several officers on my department who do not have bullet proof vests.  My agency is not the only one in the area in this situation.  Many officers need to reach in their own pockets heavily to afford what is needed to be a servant.  
My primary goal is to provide my officers with the equipment they need to be safe and effective public servants.  If there is more money taken in than we need for vests and equipment, it is our goal to set up a foundation as a resource to be able to assist other agencies and officers with their needs.
Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated.  With the large number of officers killed recently this is critical in nature.
