CAMDEN MEREDITH NUCKOLS (1990-2015)
Camden Nuckols went to be with God on 11/17/15. In Camden’s 25 years on this earth he blessed his fiancé Kelsey, his family and friends with his very presence. He was a spiritual, selfless, genuine, and loving person.
Camden’s family and friends have described him as witty and intelligent. “He was an all-around great guy”, “always positive, personable, professional, and a great person”; “proud to have known him”; “he was a great human being in every way”; “hope he knew how many people were impacted by his life.”
Camden recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BSBA degree in Economics and he worked at Catholic Charities in the finance department. Camden was a pro ice hockey referee with the East Coast Hockey League (Solar Bears are a member of this league). Camden was an alumni of the local Orlando Youth Hockey Association where he won a state championship as a teenager. He officiated countless collegiate, adult league, and youth hockey games and tournaments. He was also active with animal rescue and adopted a rescue dog last year he named Moose.
Many friends have asked what they can do to help. We have established this GoFundMe in lieu of flowers.
As a tribute and celebration of Camden’s life, our family is in the process of establishing a foundation in Camden’s name with the goal of improving the quality of life for children dealing with his condition. The funds will be provided directly to families for their needs, such as travel expenses for medical appointments, including pet boarding. Funds will also cover opportunities for participation in various indoor activities, such as ice hockey (Camden’s passion).
100% OF ALL DONATIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO CAMDEN’S FOUNDATION; NO FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR CAMDEN’S MEDICAL OR PERSONAL EXPENSES. FAMILY FUNDS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SET ASIDE FOR CAMDEN’S FOUNDATION.
