Vanessa Soyer Memorial Fund

Vanessa R. Black Soyer was a Domestic Violence Author. She was born and raised in Harlem, New York. Vanessa was a wife and mother of four. She has two daugthers and two sons, Lanecia Washington, La'chelle Washington, Lance Washington, and Sheldon Soyer Jr. In 2006 she relocated to Charlotte North Carolina to make a better life for herself as well as her family. Vanessa enjoyed the peace and serenity of the south, it provided her with the clarity and quiteness she needed to write many books. Unfortunately would later prove that sometimes the words in a book are more than just words, but a true cry for help. In 2013 Vanessa made her last and final move to Atlanta Georgia, she loved it there, she wrote many more books and audio recordings which can be found on Amazon. She had a love for people, always cooking and entertaining family and friends in her home. Vanessa always kept her New York state of mind, often making trips to visit her daughters and countless family members and friends. Tragically on November 16th 2015 Vanessa R. Black Soyer was murdered at the hands of her husband of 15 years, nobody would've ever thought that the words from the pages of her books would become her relality. She leaves behind her four children, her grandaughter Cassie Gardenhire, an unborn grandchild, host of family members and close friends. Losing someone you love is hard enough, but having to say goodbye to your mother is something no child should have to do.
