Sleepout for the Homeless

What's it like to be homeless? Same clothes, same smell, same look. We can only eat what we're given. The Omicron Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated will be hosting its annual “Sleepout for the Homeless” Event the 2nd week of April. On a single night in January 2015, 564,708 people were experiencing homelessness, and this affects families and children all over the nation every day. In light of this, we will be sleeping outside for 3 days to raise awareness for homelessness in America. In addition, up to Sunday, April 16th, we will be fundraising, collecting consumables and clothing in order to support Joseph’s House homeless Shelter in Troy, NY, and to help people regain the opportunity to support themselves and their families. The members of the Chapter will also be emulating the lives of those who we are fervently trying to support! So we encourage everyone’s participation for the cause. So please support the cause!
