Jonathon's Road to Recovery

On August 7th 2019 my brother Jonathon Anderson who is a 20 year old man, was brought into Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops due to severe abdominal pain and was later diagnosed with Stage 3C Metastatic Non Seminoma (Choriocarcinoma). This is a form of Testicular Cancer.
Not long later, my brother was told the cancer had spread to his liver, lymph nodes and lungs originating from his testicle. He then also developed pneumonia which heightened his discomfort.
John underwent an emergency orchiectomy on August 8th, 2019. Due to the advance stage of Johns cancer, he was rushed to Kelowna on August 13th, 2019 .
He is currently in an acute state and the length and duration of treatment is still unknown however chemotherapy began this week and is expected to last at least the next 4 months with the future being unsure. The B.C. Cancer Agency and Kelowna General Hospital have been working closely together to deliver care to my brother.
At this point in time we want John to focus on his recovery and not worry about expenses! Many family members have taken time off work to be by his bedside to support him through this difficult time as he feels uncomfortable to be alone but his expenses continue to mount.
Every day that goes by, is another dollar spent. Costs are rising and will continue to rise from hotels in Kelowna during treatment weeks, travel costs, time off work for John and unforeseen medical expenses and surgeries. Our wishes for John is to have the support he needs around him and to eliminate any financial stressors.
Your support is appreciated and will help mitigate stress allowing John to be able to focus on fighting this son of a bitch!
