Dad's Cancer Treatment Expenses

Our dad has been dealing with horrid back pain, he has gone to doctors’ appointments over the last few months and a week ago they got the results back from an MRI (at this point we thought he would be getting back surgery done) they proceeded to inform him and our mom that he has metastatic cancer.  Between more tests and doctors’ visits, it has come down to: Him & our mom will be going to Chicago to find out the origin and where the cancer started.  They will be leaving out June 10th and will be able to come home that following weekend. They have insurance but it only covers so much. He will have co-pays, there is always unexpected/unplanned expenses, food, and anything he needs to make him comfortable. It is important they make it to Chicago so we can get more in-depth answers and be able to start his treatments as soon as he can before it spreads any more than it has.  His treatments will be done at the facility in Chicago, so him and mom will also be flying back and forth however often his treatments will be.  We are still in shock and all seems like a bad nightmare. We want to be able to get him all the help he needs to fight this and finish watching all 6 of us kids and all 11 grand-kids grow and keep making memories.
