a little help from my friends

Hello, my dear friends;

As some of you know, I have been enduring some rather tough times since my long-term relationship ended last year. In addition to a broken heart, the break-up left me broken financially. I've done everything I can think of to mitigate my circumstances, including taking on a roommate later in the year. Unfortunately, shortly after she moved jn, she shared that she had no source of income, no prospects, and nowhere else to go.

I now find myself in the very difficult position of having to ask for help. This is uncomfortable for me because I've always been the helper, and there are those whose need is greater than mine, yet here I am, asking for your help.

The cupboards are bare, the utilities are sending second notices, and I'm behind on the rent. This is the slowest time of the year in my line of work, and I have run out of options, which is why I've allowed a friend to talk me into taking this bold, unusual, and out-of-character step.

I know that many of you are also facing difficult challenges; it is not my intention to minimize your struggles. But, for those of you who find yourselves in a posotion to be able to help, I humbly ask for your assistance.
