Living/Medical Bills for Matt Paul

My name is Matt. I am seeking help with keeping a roof over my head as well as with with the mountain of medical debt that I have while waiting on my disability case to go through. I am a former Corrections Officer who was disabled in the line of duty in 2007. I have had five surgeries on my right knee with the last surgery getting infected so badly there is nerve damage from the knee down to my right foot. I have had to walk with a cane ever since. The improper weight displacement has injured my right hip as well as injuring my back causing an anterior wedge deformity and degenerative bone loss in several vertebrae. The amount of pain I am in is a constant 8 out of 10 but due to a severe addiction I developed to the narcotic pain medicines I was prescribed I stopped taking them over two years ago and have been clean ever since. I have also been diagnosed with PTSD and am in treatment for that. Even with all of the medical problems I have the Social Secutrity Administration has denied me seven times. Every time their reasoning has been my age and education. I am currently waiting for a hearing date which could take up to fifteen months. I would love nothing more than the ability to work. I really need help so I can pay bills to keep a roof over my head, supplement my food needs, pay for my medical needs that Medicaid won't cover and anything else that I might need as I fight for my disability benefits. 





Funds raised here will also go to get my pup Coraline registered as my therapy dog. She keeps me calm when I have to go out. :) 

This fundraiser will be used to help Matt pay rent, utilities, phone bill, medical bills, and any other bills that might pop up to help his parents out while waiting for this hearing. 


This my pup Athena. She's been with me through almost all of this and we would all benifit from some help.
