BN's Urgent Fundraising Drive

Black Nonbelievers (BN) has been around since 2011. We have established a solid reputation for actively engaging the secular community, increasing the visibility of nonbelievers of color, as well as providing a wide range of networking, support and service.
BN was most recently featured on CBS Sunday Morning (April 2015), in a segmet about being openly secular in the United States. We now have affiliates in 8 cities, and we are continuing to grow - not only as an organization, but also as a demographic (atheists of color). We have also proven to be effective movement partners with other secular organizations, and we are open to everyone.
We are in need of funds to sustain our operations, fulfill our financial committments, upgrade our communication, and jumpstart our longterm growth and development. Each contributor will be enlisted as a formal member of Black Nonbelievers, and will receive news about upcoming events and projects. We will also be creating a newsletter, which will provide information about us and other secular community happenings. There are also other incentives included depending on the amount contributed.
There have been many who have expressed that our organization has forever changed their lives. It is often remarked by Black atheists/nonbelievers that they've felt isolated due to religious dominance in our communities, and that BN was their first encounter not only with other like minded individuals, but with the secular community in general. Oftentimes, we encounter resistance from people who do not understand why a need for an organization like ours to exist. However, the growing number of Black secularists who have emerged proves that we are crucial to the community.
But we cannot do this without you. We have avoided establishing formal membership and pressing consistently for donations, and we appreciate all support that we have received in these past 4 years. However, it has become necessary to ask for your immediate help. The majority of the efforts have rested on the very few, and that will hinder us in the long run. We hope that we can count on you to help us.
We completely understand if you cannot contribute, but that doesn't mean you can't help.
