NCS Sponsored Walk

As part of our NCS Social Action project, we will be holding a Sponsored Walk for 5KM on Friday the 27th of July around Markeaton Park in order to raise money towards the YMCA charity. All of the money raised will be used to provide resources for renovations at Derwent Stepping Stones Nursery as well as creating boxes that are filled with necessities to assist residents, and target more specifically homeless women by providing them with sanitary items. These renovations will include painting, gardening, furniture and decorations to reinvent their life and provide an extremely positive ambiance. The renovations will help aid young adults and the youth especially, to create a foundation that will help them thrive in a community where they feel welcome, safe and supported. This charity targets a range of different people who come from different backgrounds where they are often not supported and who are struggling regardless of their gender, age, ability or faith. By donating money, these renovations will offer a place of security where they are able to be free and enjoy good health and wellbeing! All donations are welcome!
