YTL 's Van for G.R.A.C.E for Teens

YTL Training Program is a nonprofit organization that works to meet teens where they are and inspire them to go far. Each summer YTL offers G.R.A.C.E for Teens Summer Programand this past October we opened the Hillcrest After-school Program( a collaboration between WWDF and YTL ). We are working hard to create opportunities for our youth that will help them see the value of who they are and what they have to offer to themselves, their families, their communities, and the world.
What would make our work a bit easier is owning our own van. For three years we have relied on churches and the kindness of individuals in the community to transport our youth. While we appreciate those who have helped in the past, we now find that we are in need of daily transportation to be able to get our participants from school to afterschool. Many of our participants ride the bus, which takes 45 minutes to an hour.
In addition to the long ride, we have had issues with our participants being harassed and other youth waiting for them to get off the bus to fight them. Having our own transportation would eliminate many of these issues. Please consider being a part of making a difference in the lives of our participants in afterschool and participants in our summer program. Thank you!
