Baby Monroe's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Madison and I are both teachers, and decided it was time to add a child to our family. Monroe Jane was born on March 30, 2016 at UW Hospital. Within minutes, she was taken to the Neonatal ICU because of breathing issues.
That same day, Monroe was transported to Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) and placed on a high level of breathing support. Tests showed one of her lungs was being squished and not allowed to inflate with the oxygen she needs. After weeks without making progress, her doctors decided she needs surgery to allow her lung room to operate.
We are staying in Seattle with Monroe. The timetable for our stay is unknown, but it will likely be through May. We were fortunate enough to get a room at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) across the street from the SCH. The RMH is an amazing charity to help take care of families like ours, but costs about $30 a day to house each family.
We are humbly asking for funds to help Madison, Monroe, and I in a few ways:
- help pay for Monroe's medical expenses
- help cover our cost for staying at the RMH
So far, we feel incredibly blessed by the love and support friends and family have sent our way. Please consider donating to our family to help us cover our financial needs as we work towards bringing Monroe home.
