Hello all!
My name is Brittney Gadd and I am currently living in Mount Vernon, Georgia where I am a Women's Head Soccer Coach at the collegiate level. I thouroughly enjoy investing in the lives of athletes and find myself going to the ends of the earth to serve God. Those of you who know me, know that it is my desire to be God's hands and feet. My faith is a very important part of my life and I am being called to serve Him through sports ministry, using sports as a way to bring God glory through the that way that I play and the way that I coach.
I am very excited to announce that the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve him with Push The Rock, a Christain sports organization out of Emmaus, PA. I will be doing a two month internship in Zambia, Africa from May 12th, 2016 to July 10th, 2016. After many fears and reservations and being stressed over the finances necessary for the trip, I decided to follow my heart into what I believed I was being called to do. I will be serving in Macha, Zambia, where I will collaborate with a family who share their love of Christ through sports year round. I will help host several short-term teams that will be coming to do sports ministry as well, but I will mostly be involved in weekly programs that are offered to the kids in the community. Prayer is the most important and powerful component to this internship. As of right now, I still need to raise $2500 dollars (out of &4,100 total). This money will go toward airfare, housing, food, and other expenses that will be necessary for me during my time in Zambia. The primary expense is airfaire.
I ask that you please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I prepare for this incredible journey, and that you prayerfully consider helping financially if you are able. Also, please pray for the kids I will be leading and ministering to. Pray that I am given the strength, wisdom, and the ability to lead in a way that brings glory to God.
I enjoy using sports as a platform to share the gospel all over the world. In the book of Mark, Chapter 16, Verse 15, it state, "He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the Gospel through all creation."
With your generous support, I look forward to doing just that in Zambia this summer from May 12-July 10 of 2016. I never thought that I would have the incredible opportunity to travel to Zambia to share Jesus Christ through teaching and playing sports. I'm excited to see wht the Lord is going to do with my life as well as the lives of those with whom we will be sharing the Gospel.
I am so grateful for whatever prayers and support you are able to lend, and am incredibly excited to see what God has in store for my life in the upcoming months!
