Tom Brennan Finland European Final

"My name is Sarah Holt-Brennan and I am a very proud mum. My son Tom Brennan has reached the Final of the European Under 19 Speedway Finals in Finland on August 11th. Tom is only just 17 years of age and this is a fantastic achievement for one so young. He is a former British Junior Grass Track Champion at 50cc (Auto Cadets 2010) and Junior Class 2011 and former British Champion Speedway 125 cc / 150cc / 250 cc and a 250 cc Youth World Finalist and Runner Up (aged just 16) in the British Under 19 Speedway Championships in May.
He commenced his League Speedway Career when he became 15 in July 2016 and in his first Full Season in 2017; he was the rider with the most improved average in UK Speedway. He rides for Eastbourne in The National League (3rd Tier, where pay rates are very low) and has had an outstanding season and is No 1 in the Team. In May despite being just 16 years of age, he finished runner up in the British Under 19 Final at Ipswich; that qualified him for the semi final in Prague a few weeks ago, where he became the ONLY BRITISH QUALIFIER, with 11 points from 5 rides qualifying comfortably; against older and more experienced riders, many with vast experience of a Track Tom had never seen before. .
We pride ourselves on Tom being ultra professional, and we gained many plaudits in The Czech Republic, as many of the Eastern European/ Scandinavian Riders, many of whom get State or National Speedway Federation Funding; had not seen or heard of Tom before, they have now!. We want Tom to have the very best chance in Finland, but that trip to Prague, cost over £4000 and we get no help at all from Speedway Federation in the UK, and therefore we are seeking help; however small; to boost Tom in the Final on 11th August.
We have managed to secure the loan of "top class" Bikes and Mechanics from the top Finnish Rider (Timo Lahti) who used to race for Eastbourne, and we are VERY grateful for that help, and the help from others; but we ideally need to raise around £3000 to just cover the costs of the help we will get and travel for Tom and one Mechanic to Finland. As you can imagine, travel anywhere in peak holiday season is not cheap, especially on a busy weekend; when it has to be arranged at short notice.
We would be very grateful for any support, every £1 helps, and in return, you will get updates from Tom along the way, recognition for your funding after the Final and as Tom is in the process of having a new website and "Support Team" created, you will have special Membership of that exciting new venture, when it is launched.
Tom is an exciting world class talent, if he were a footballer, golfer; tennis player, he would be earning tens of thousands; sadly at the moment, Speedway in the UK cannot pay any more than "subsistence money" and as a proud mom, all I want for Tom, is that he can compete on a "level playing field" with State and Federation sponsored Riders, his existing Sponsors do a great job, but these are unexpected events, as he has surpassed expectations in Qualifying for the Under 19's a staggering 2 years early, so please help to support us, we will be eternally grateful."
