Hello and thank you so much for your support! Youth Unplugged is a non-profit organization started by Johnny and Leanna Tock that raises awareness about technology balance for children and their families. We help kids unplug from technology and connect to nature, community & themselves, through outdoor play! We offer retro play camps, community outreach and parent workshops. Focusing on discovery, storytelling, and connection, we help children and families create a healthy lifestyle that is holistic, balanced, eco-friendly, and encourages imagination & exploration.
Fun and play is not only a great way to connect with others and build relationships, it's also a very important part of our development! This is essential to the healthy growth and maturity of our young children. In today’s world of technology and video games, kids are playing less and less outdoors and are relying on video games or technology to entertain them, engage them, and provide the fun that used to be provided through in-person, interactive games and community. We are bringing back the good, old fashioned, healthy outdoor play!
What do we do at Youth Unplugged?
Camp includes:
- A retro, device-free event where your children can unplug & connect with community and play outdoors!
Program includes:
Field games, Art & Crafts, and Group Chats about: Technology & Screen Time Balance, Self-Esteem, Social Skills, Self-Care, Healthy Eating, Nature Discovery & Community, Storytelling, as well as a Parent Workshop and Parent/Child game time!
DONATIONS ALLOW US TO OFFER FREE DAY CAMPS TO OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS PARENT WORKSHOPS AND EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH.
