What will I do with the money?
I already teach martial arts to women and children who are victims of domestic violence at no charge. I also offer personal protection if needed at the same price. FREE.
I want to move it indoors. The money will pay the rent. Right now we are in the park. I would like to keep it free but have it air conditioned and heated for these mothers and children who have literally been victimised and beaten down most of their marriage and or childhood.
I would like to show them a better way. Teaching them to be unafraid of people, especially their abusers. Enable them to walk confidently for the rest of their lives. Helping them to realize they can protect themselves and their children from an abuser.
Such an undertaking is far from free. Location, equipment, counseling and lawyer referrals takes money. I thought I would try group funding. So here I am and there you are. Can we get this done?
