YOUTH COMPANY CHICAGO IS GROWING! WE ARE RAISING FUNDS FOR OUR EXPANSION
We need your help to install permanent theatrical lighting, build-out our dressing room space, and purchase some basic equipment to help us in our quest to become the best theatre education program in Chicagoland.
Here is some of the latest news from Youth Company Chicago:
***We began programming in Summer 2012 with 7 students, and in our first full season, served over 120 students. In our current season, 2013-2014, we anticipate enrolling over 200 students in our performance programs.
***In June 2013, we signed a lease on our second studio space, and had contractors bust a hole in the wall between our old space and new space. We transformed the new space from a dirty, abandoned storefront into a beautiful, intimate rehearsal and performance space.
***Most notably, we have awarded over $15,000 in financial aid to students that wouldn't have been able to participate in our Summer and Fall programs. Our student body is extremely diverse, and we have already made a huge impact on so many families by giving them access to quality performing arts education.
***In November, we are holding our first Fall Family Cabaret to kick-off the 2013-2014 season and raise funds for this project. We hope you can attend!
Can you help with a donation to our programs - specifically, to upgrading our new studio space? Any amount will help! (REALLY!)
With your funds, we plan to:
---Purchase and install permanent theatrical lighting points.
---Build-out permanent dressing room space in our unfinished basement.
---Make some repairs to the restroom facilities.
---Purchase equipment, including a high-quality microphone, costume racks, and permanent blackout shades for our beautiful storefront windows.
