Youth4Climate With Light Us !

"Light Us" is a photovoltaic and intelligent torch intended to be a universal symbol of sustainability that the COP’s organizing countries will symbolically transmit to each other at the beginning of each new edition, just as the Olympics’ flame through an eco-friendly relay.

This initiative was launched two years ago by the MIPAI association whose goal is to encourage the emergence of green projects, to build a more environmentally friendly world by organizing relays in electric car. After two successful editions, the Mediterranean Youth Climate Network joins the adventure, to participate into bringing the latest upgraded version of the “Light Us torch” to COP24.

 
"Light Us Road to COP24"

Sustainable mobility is not only about electric vehicles. In fact, we decided for this third edition to make the journey by train, parallel to the relay of electric vehicles. Nearly 50 youngsters, committed to climate-related issues, will be participating, and will cross over 5000 km to show the world that it is possible to travel long distances on public transportation while paying attention to their carbon footprint.
 
When & Where?

November 25th, 2018, from Monaco with the support of the foundation of the Principality of Monaco.
The relay will make stops in Geneva, Paris, Brussels, Bonn, Prague, Vienna to finally arrive in the host city of the COP24, Katowice, and take part in the opening ceremony.

What will the funds be used for?

The funds raised will be used exclusively for the complete funding of the trip of the 50 young people who will be part of this adventure.
