Youth with a mission Kona,Hawaii

For so long I would ask my self, " Is there more to life then this? More to life then just Living for me ? Or was I created for a Bigger purpose ? I couldn't just allow time to continue to pass by without knowing or finding what my purpose was so I decided to take a leap of faith, put LIFE on hold and come to Kona, Hawaii for 3 months to serve and prepare myself and my heart to go out to the nations to make a difference and spread the love of God to those who are broken and in need. The verse of scripture that resides in my heart is Esther 4:14, "Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created for ". I had come across that verse about a a month before coming to KONA and had a gut feeling this year was going to be a year I'd be stepping outside my bubble and saying Yes to whatever God was calling me to do. I had no idea as to how far I'd be pushed outside my comfort zone but I knew I was ready for it . As I reach almost a full month of being here in KONA I've already opened my eyes to so much. it's sad to say that for the first time I hadn't realized how blind I had been to all the chaos and brokenness going on in this world. I mean let's be real ,we're all so caught up with things going on in our own lives we forget to stop and think about what's really going on in the world . I mean I can honestly admit that I've been guilty of that .Being here though, I have opened my ears and witnessed with my own eyes all the darkness and brokenness around the world and I've never wanted anything more Then to rise up and be a voice and a light to those who are yearning and in need.
So, I want to share some exciting news . Ive been given the opportunity to be one of 12 to go to South East Asia at the end March to serve and spread the love of God. I will be there for 2 months working at a Youth Development Center (YDC) where students from ages 15-25 will be taught english as well as working with at risk children and women . How awesome Is that! I have always had a huge passion to work with at risk children and it was always a dream of mine to go to a broken country and be a voice to the voiceless, and now I have been give the opportunity to live out my dream. Awesome right !? Mother Theresa said give your Hands to serve and your hearts to love and that's exactly what my purpose is. To overwhelm people with love and to share the truth of how amazing our God is.
Realizing this trip doesn't happen with out the involvement of others, I would like to ask and invite you to support my efforts to be able to go and be a light to those in South East Asia. Whether it's through your prayers or helping financially .I would love to have support anyway you'd like to give. Currently right now I'm in need of 500 dollars for the next several Months as I have been laying my life down to help others for a total of six months without income .
I recognize this is a huge ask, but I am hopeful that through prayer and loving support God will provide a way for me to go and help change lives in South East Asia. If I have the support and opportunity to change one life ,that one life changed can impact a family and even a society ! So I thank you all for your prayers,support, and for all that you are willing to give. I am looking forward to seeing lives change and seeing what God has in store for me for he next few months. Again I want to say thank you and let you all Know how much I appreciate all the prayers, support and encouragement through out my journey . I can't wait to have amazing stories to tell when I come home ❤
