Young Artists In Studio

Hi everyone! I just finished my summer pilot program for Young Artists in Studio .

7 weeks of intense business mentorship! Here's what the students did:
~ worked under deadline with a local business creating a large wall mural of Downtown Dallas
~created their first online gallery of their art work
~practiced "networking" with professionals in person
~designed their own business cards, designed the YAIS logo
~learned how to price their artwork
~learned set-up for their first art show
~SOLD THEIR FIRST ARTWORKS

Over ten creative professionals volunteered time to mentor the students; giving encouragement, professional advice and best of all, their contact information.

YAIS become a safe place where these students were able to see their professional worth as talented artists, learning through business mentorship and EXPERIENCE.  



YAIS summer pilot program was operated with no outside funding. 

 $1800 operation costs for this summer 

$2000 application fee for non profit, 501c-3 status.
