I’m a Malaysia born US citizen. I met my husband during a business trip 7 years ago. We got married and I left my parent and migrate to United States. We now have 2 beautiful children (4 years old and 2 months old).
On Dec 10th, my mom started to have bad headache, blur vision and intensive vomiting. The result from the CT scan showed that she has a large tumor in her brain which pressuring her artery and also wrap around her optic nerve causing the blur vision. She needs a surgery to remove the 1.5 x1.5 inches’ tumor. The tumor will not be completely remove due to the size and the location of the tumor, therefore she will have to follow up with series of chemo therapy treatments.
My mom Chen Moi, Yong is a 61 years old hardworking and dedicated woman. She dedicates her life caring and raise 5 children but never complaint about her hardship. She gets up at 2am to start her day as a seafood vendor, and comes home still making dinner, doing laundry and house chores and doesn’t get to rest until 9pm. I’ve learned from her being a mom is not just about making sure your kid is well fed and well dressed, but to teach them how to be caring and giving without asking for anything in return.
I’m starting this fundraising campaign asking for your help to pay for her surgery and oncoming chemo therapy. It is a complicated surgery involve high risk and needs to be done as soon as possible.
