Yocelyn's Road to Recovery

My daughter Yocelyn who is 4yrs old, 2yrs ago, a month before her 3rd birthday, was diagnosed with LCH (Langerhans cell histiocytosis -It's a form of cancerous tumors that damages tissue). Doctors found that Yocelyn has 4 tumors attached to the skull and one on her hip. She had her 1st round of chemo, December 12, 2016. The treatment was somewhat successful. The chemotherapy shrunk her tumors by 50%. Yocelyn then started her 2nd round of chemo this past April 2017. In the between time, Doctors diagnosed her with DI, (diabetes insipidus aka water diabetes - this is a life long condition that can not be cured.) is a rare disorder of salt and water metabolism marked by intense thirst and heavy urination due to lack of hormones in the body. She is on a strict liquid regimen. If Yocelyn drinks under or over a certain amount of liquid per day, she can be prone to seizures. Aside from all of this, Yocelyn is your typical 4 yr old girl. She loves to play, sing and be a girly girl. Yocelyn loves to wear make-up and dress' as much as she can. She loves to spend time with her sister and brothers. Yocelyn wants to be in gymnastics and in cheerleading with her sister, but cannot do anything physical due to the possibility of bleeding internally. Last year, Make-a-Wish foundation granted her a trip to Disney World. She had a chance to meet her favorite characters, have her dreams come true, and be a princess for the day. Unfortunately, with the limited drinking, medical treatments she has monthly, sometimes weekly, I am unable to work. It is hard explaining to someone that my daughter cannot drink water. So I decided it is best for me to be a stay at home mother. I need any type of help and support I can get. So, with the support of friends, family and any one who wants to help my daughter.
